The Indian Journal of Law and Technology (IJLT) is a bi-annual, student-edited, peer-reviewed, open access law journal published annually by the National Law School of India University, Bangalore. Established in 2005, IJLT is the first and only law journal in India devoted exclusively to the study of the interface between law and technology. The journal as per its mandate carries scholarship in the areas of intellectual property rights, internet governance, information communication technologies, privacy rights, digital freedoms, openness, telecommunications policy, media law and innovation, with an emphasis on a developing country perspective or a comparative approach that benefits the developing world. A second issue in each volume carries perspectives on contemporary issues affecting society around the world at the intersection of law, technology, industry and policy. IJLT is widely read and is available internationally on databases such as Westlaw, HeinOnline, UGC-CARE, the Legal Information Institute of India, SCC Online, and Manupatra. IJLT also runs a blog to publish short, contemporary articles. The Editorial Board organises lectures and essay competitions to promote interest and scholarship in the field of law and technology.
